The BilSE Institute (established in 1992) is a state authorized continuous training, education and research institution, which is continuously growing and works now with more than 60 employees and  freelancers (teachers, scientists and practitioners) – It has been ISO certified since 1997 (EU - Norm DIN EN ISO 9001:2000).
It is active in areas including:
Education: vocational and further education and training, IT-technologies, personality development, assessment and management of personal, development of innovative solutions for SME`s and projects (management; realisation, evaluation, gender mainstreaming, entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation), learning in rural areas.
Research: Psychology of employment, socialisation and learning; development of key skills.
Partnerships: International BilSE works with 40 partners in 11 European countries; involved in 6 EU-projects (Leonardo, Sokrates; Grundtvig; ESF); nationally BilSE is coordinator of the BMBF-Project “Learning Regions” in a network with over 100 partners;
