pro-competence supports basic and further training by task-related activities and applied research particularly by giving assistance to the  management of projects, knowledge transfer, development of networks and innovative concepts for training and further education at regional, national and international level.
pro-competence supports decision makers, education providers and other actors in the field of professional training and further training by:

• Monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance
• Development, introduction and evaluation of education concepts and learning materials
• Methodical/didactic aspects of new forms of learning
• Counselling on foreign language acquisition tailored to motivation and needs
• Learner-oriented quality assurance in schools and in further education as well 
• Developing and implementing European education projects including valorisation and transfer
• Development of personnel and organisations
• Profiling and outplacement
• Moderation and presentations
• Counselling on network development
• Development of intercultural competence
• Assessment of competence development, education counselling and designing roads to education

The institute is involved in networks of education providers, social institutions and has close links to companies and other structures and networks particularly in the field of human resources development.

Particular expertise is available in the field of accompanying monitoring and evaluation. Project accompanying evaluation has been carried out successfully under Leonardo da Vinci and Sokrates as well as in regional and national projects promoted by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
