The Multidisciplinary European Research Institute Graz [MERIG]

The Multidisciplinary European Research Institute Graz [MERIG] is a non-profit organisation, founded in 2003, aimed at linking researchers and institutions from diverse research areas with the aim of pursuing and supporting common research, development and intermediation activities specific to the European Union. The core fields of expertise deal with social, cultural, political ecological and economic issues.
The key person involved in the project, Mag. Brigitte Zörweg, is an economist and has more than eight years experience in the management and implementation of different national and EU projects (i.e. Leonardo da Vinci, FP5, JOBMASTER, INTERREG etc.). Her main focus lies on employment policies and general and vocational training. As senior consultant Brigitte Zörweg is currently managing the LdV Train SME pilot project, which aims to improve the vocational training system in small and micro enterprises by providing innovative and adoptable tools for the assessment of training needs and guidelines for the implementation of vocational training programmes particularly in small and micro enterprises. She is the managing director of MERIG and will be responsible for the TRAINMOR-KNOWMORE project.
