Thessaloniki Technology Park (www.thestep.gr) was formed in 1994 in response to the growing need for an efficient and dynamic organisation that would promote innovation, competitiveness and entrepreneurship amongst Greek enterprises. TTP, the main stakeholder is one of the biggest Greek research organisations: Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) and includes 5 research institutes with specialisation in Chemical process, Transports, Informatics and Telematics, Agro biotechnology and Fossil Fuels. Among TTP’s co-founders are:  Euroconsultants S.A (A leading Consulting company in Greece), the Association of Industries in Northern Greece as well as other leading Greek industries. Since then it has served as industry-research liaison assisting assessment and exploitation of research results, promoting the creation of spin-off companies (Incubator) and new technologies and providing innovation support as well as technology transfer services to the local business community. Having gained strong professional experience over the last 10 years and combining its multidisciplinary knowledge, TTP develops and provides vocational training services.  TTP has successfully participated in more than 20 European R&D projects as well as successfully managing 9 trans-national projects (2 current participations in other Leonardo projects). TTP is a member of the International Association of Science Parks (IASP) as well as a member of Innovation Relays Centers (IRCs), (irc.cordis.lu).
