ALBA



ALBA (www.alba.edu.gr) is a Business School, which operates as an educational not-for-profit association of Greek corporations (currently numbering 50). It was founded in 1992 by, and operates since then under the auspices of, the Federation of Greek Industries, the Hellenic Management Association and the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry. ALBA's mission is to foster a new generation of managers capable of operating in a global environment, equipped with the necessary skills for becoming agents and catalysts of change and development in the region. It does so by offering a rigorous postgraduate business education of the highest international academic standards. In the field of Knowledge Management, ALBA’s faculty includes a number of high calibre and internationally recognised individuals. ALBA has established the “Research Centre for Knowledge Management” which encompasses all ALBA’s research, teaching and consulting activities in the field and is directed by Professor Haridimos Tsoukas. Furthermore, ALBA has organised a number of high-level events in the field, with most important being the “Third European Conference in Organisational Knowledge, Learning and Capabilities (OKLC)” in 2002. ALBA is a member of the E.U. funded network “European Knowledge Management Forum” among other European organisations specialised in the field and has participated in 20 E.U. funded projects many of which were in the field of Knowledge Management tools and techniques development.
